On-Site Oxygen Generation
Produce oxygen directly at the aquaculture facility using PSA oxygen generation technology, reducing dependence on external oxygen supply.
Oxygenation System
Complete oxygen management solution for commercial RAS — integrating PSA oxygen generators, oxygen cones and air suspension blowers to maintain stable dissolved oxygen and support high-density fish farming.
Overview
An aquaculture oxygenation system is an integrated solution designed to increase and maintain dissolved oxygen levels in recirculating aquaculture systems.
Unlike traditional aeration methods that rely only on air diffusion, commercial RAS oxygenation systems use concentrated oxygen supply and efficient gas transfer equipment to support higher stocking densities and biological loading.
A complete oxygenation system typically includes four modules:
YUTANK oxygenation solutions combine these modules into a complete system designed for intensive freshwater and marine aquaculture applications.
Advantages
Produce oxygen directly at the aquaculture facility using PSA oxygen generation technology, reducing dependence on external oxygen supply.
Oxygen cones increase gas-water contact efficiency through pressurized mixing, delivering high dissolved oxygen water into the RAS circulation system.
Designed to work together with fish tanks, mechanical filtration, biofilters, degassing systems, and water quality monitoring equipment.
How It Works
The oxygenation process combines on-site oxygen generation, high-efficiency oxygen dissolution and biological filtration aeration within the RAS circulation loop.
Compressed air passes through the PSA oxygen generator, producing high-purity oxygen on site.
Pure oxygen is dissolved into circulating water under pressure inside the oxygen cone, producing high dissolved oxygen water.
High dissolved oxygen water is returned to the RAS culture system to maintain stable dissolved oxygen levels.
At the same time, the air suspension blower supplies airflow through the air distribution system to support MBBR biofilter aeration and additional fish tank oxygen support.
Oxygen Generation
The PSA oxygen generator provides a stable oxygen source for the oxygenation system. It uses compressed air and molecular sieve separation technology to produce oxygen with stable purity for aquaculture oxygen supply.
The oxygen generation package can be configured with:
Provides continuous oxygen production for commercial aquaculture systems.
Refrigerated dryer systems improve compressed air quality and support stable PSA oxygen production.
Available oxygen production capacities range from 10 L/min up to 150 L/min for different RAS scales.

| CH-O10LC | 10 L/min | 0.4 MPa | 93% | 800W |
| CH-O20LC | 20 L/min | 0.4 MPa | 93% | 1600W |
| CH-O30LC | 30 L/min | 0.4 MPa | 93% | 2300W |

| CH-O50LC | 50 L/min | 0.4 MPa | 93% | 3700W |
| CH-O60LC | 60 L/min | 0.4 MPa | 93% | 4500W |
| CH-O80LC | 80 L/min | 0.4 MPa | 93% | 5800W |
| CH-O100LC | 100 L/min | 0.4 MPa | 93% | 8kW |

Oxygen Dissolution
The oxygen cone is designed specifically for intensive aquaculture systems requiring high dissolved oxygen water. By increasing gas-water contact pressure, the oxygen cone improves oxygen transfer efficiency and dissolves oxygen into circulating water.
In high-density RAS systems, oxygen demand can exceed what conventional aeration can provide. Oxygen cones improve oxygen transfer by mixing pure oxygen with circulating water under pressure, producing high dissolved oxygen water before returning to culture tanks.
Designed for efficient oxygen transfer in pressurized water environments.
The standard oxygen cone uses stainless steel construction, providing corrosion resistance, mechanical strength and long-term operation reliability.
Available models cover flow rates from 10 m³/h up to 200 m³/h for different RAS circulation scales.
| Model | Flow Rate | Dimensions | Material | Pump Power |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| OC80 | 10–30 m³/h | 600 × 1650 mm | Stainless Steel | 1.5kW |
| OC100 | 40–60 m³/h | 800 × 2150 mm | Stainless Steel | 2.2kW |
| OC125 | 80–120 m³/h | 1000 × 2650 mm | Stainless Steel | 4kW |
| OC150 | 150–200 m³/h | 1200 × 3150 mm | Stainless Steel | 5.5kW |
The standard oxygen cone uses stainless steel construction; FRP is available for customized projects.
Aeration Support
Air suspension blowers use air bearings and high-speed motors to operate with reduced mechanical contact, helping minimize wear and maintenance requirements.
In RAS systems the air suspension blower provides stable airflow for oxygen demand management, serving two functions:
Air Suspension Blower Advantages:
Provides oxygen supply for nitrifying bacteria and maintains aerobic biological filtration conditions in the MBBR biofilter.
Provides supplementary aeration support for culture tanks under high biomass conditions.
| Power | Pressure Range |
|---|---|
| 2.2kW | 10–40 kPa |
| 3kW | 10–40 kPa |
| 4kW | 10–40 kPa |
| 5.5kW | 10–40 kPa |
| 7.5kW | 10–40 kPa |
| 11kW | 10–40 kPa |
| 15kW | 10–60 kPa |
| 18.5kW | 10–60 kPa |
| 22kW | 10–60 kPa |
| 30kW | 10–60 kPa |
| 37kW | 10–60 kPa |

RAS Integration
The oxygenation system is placed after mechanical filtration, degassing and biological filtration, and before UV treatment, so that high dissolved oxygen water returns to the culture tanks. As part of a complete RAS system, oxygen supply is coordinated with upstream solids removal, organic load control, gas management and disinfection.

Why YUTANK
YUTANK designs oxygenation as part of the complete recirculating aquaculture system rather than as isolated equipment, coordinating oxygen supply with solids removal, biological filtration and dissolved oxygen management — including CO₂ removal through degassing — within the overall circulation process.
The oxygenation system combines PSA oxygen generation, oxygen cone dissolution and air suspension blower aeration in one integrated solution, covering both fish culture oxygen demand and biological filtration oxygen demand within a single coordinated design.
Oxygenation sizing considers more than nominal capacity. Depending on available project data, our engineers evaluate system volume, biomass, feed load, species and target dissolved oxygen to recommend the appropriate PSA generator, oxygen cone and blower configuration.
FAQ
An oxygenation system supplies and dissolves oxygen into circulating water to maintain suitable dissolved oxygen levels for fish growth and biological filtration.
Aeration transfers oxygen from air into water, while oxygenation systems use concentrated oxygen and specialized equipment such as oxygen cones to achieve higher dissolved oxygen levels required for intensive RAS operation.
An oxygen cone increases oxygen dissolution efficiency by improving gas-water contact under pressure, producing high dissolved oxygen water for intensive aquaculture systems.
Yes. Commercial RAS projects often use oxygen cones for fish tank oxygen supply and air blowers for MBBR biofilter aeration.
Selection depends on total system water volume, biomass loading, fish species, feed input, target dissolved oxygen level and filtration configuration. YUTANK engineers recommend the configuration according to the overall RAS design.
The required generator capacity depends on system volume, biomass, feed loading, oxygen demand and dissolved oxygen target. YUTANK sizes the PSA oxygen generator according to the overall RAS design rather than applying a fixed capacity for every project.
